Sarve Bhadrani Pashyantu

My belief in the ancient dictum "Sarve Bhadrani Pashyantu" received, I thought, a jolt this morning while I walked past the building of the Odisha Administrative Tribunal. The Tribunal has been abolished, the Building looked deserted.

In 1986, it had been established. Mr Gyan Chand became the first Chairman and my house I let out to be the tribunal Building before taking over my assignment as Chairman of Paradip Port.
About 60,000 cases were pending before the Tribunal was abolished. These are lying Red Taped. How would be the litigants feeling? When would the Red Tape be unfastened? I felt disturbed.
I cast a look at the centuries old Banyan Tree close to the Tribunal Building. It looked clean and more Regal. The busy Restaurant near it which had made brisk business while the Tribunal was functioning, has also been relocated.

I enjoyed the prevailing serenity hanging around the majestic Tree. My belief in Sarve Bhadrani Pashyantu got stronger.
