SONG OF THE HILL BIRD

The bird in the hills could not be saying "Kafal paaka milnie chakha"; but surely a melancholic story is woven around the call of the bird which seems saying this.
A cruel stepmother sends the innocent child to the forest to get a dozen of Kafal fruits. He dutifully brings the fruits; but the mischievous lady plays a cruel trick; throws away one and accuses the child of having stolen the missing fruit and eaten it. This accusation turns into anger and the lady, as per her premeditated diabolic plan, kills the child. The innocent child's hurt soul keeps roaming in the forests of the hills, singing "Kafal paaka, milnie chakha"; meaning, I haven't eaten the ripe Kafal.
This story of the grandmother could have brought tears in the innocent wide eyes of many a children of the hills.
