We seem eager to condone every aberration, compound every crime and, ultimately, hasten the process of dehumanisation.
A wealthy son, comfortably settled abroad, thinks he is adequately taking care of his lone indigent, sick octogenarian mother in a remote Indian village by liberal remittance; the state feels holy by granting a liberal amount to a rape victim. Even a Judge feels plunder of natural resources with connivance of the state actors can be condoned with a hefty financial penalty with conniving state actors going scot-free.
These are symptoms of crude materialism, manifestation of a system, devoid of soul. Ultimately it is Money that wins and Humanity wilts. A polity based on humanity, social justice , rule of law, majesty of law, wilts and gives way to a new order. A demonic society emerges.
